Credit unions could get Mayo back to work

Sinn Féin councillor Therese Ruane has called on Mayo County Enterprise Board to meet with Credit Unions across the county to initiate a small business loan scheme. Cllr Ruane believes that such a scheme would save dozens of small businesses and hundreds of jobs across Mayo.

Santa and his elves will be at the museum from 12pm to 1.30pm and from 2.30 pm to 4.30pm. Join Santa and his magic elves on Saturday December 13 from 11am to 5pm in the National Museum of Ireland Country Life, Turlough Park, Castlebar. There will also be a Christmas food fair (free admission), a Christmas exhibition, carol singing with the Mayo Male Voice Choir and gospel singers, face painting, free gift wrapping in the museum shop, and the museum cafe is also open.

This was according to Frank Fullard, director of the Mayo County Enterprise Board, who addressed members of the Planning and Economic Development SPC this week.
